Where does Vamo work?
Across the Bocas del Toro archipelago: Isla Colón, Carenero, Bastimentos, Solarte and the main docks, beaches and bays in the area. We keep adding destinations.
How do I pay?
Everything is paid in the app by credit or debit card, with Yappy coming soon. Vamo is cashless: nobody has to hunt for change at the dock.
Can I cancel?
Yes. The app shows you the cancellation rules before you confirm and, before you cancel, tells you whether a fee applies. No surprises.
How do I sign up as a captain?
Download the app, create your account and choose to work as a captain. We will ask for your boat documents and licence; once we have reviewed them you can go online and receive trips.
Does it work offline?
No. You need mobile data or wifi to request, receive offers and pay. We recommend requesting your ride back from somewhere with good signal.
What about at night?
You can request at any time, but night trips depend on captains being available. You always see the price in the offer before you accept.
